Scholarships
The Enterprise Scholarship Program supports the education of students interested in full-time employment at UK HealthCare upon graduation.
- This program covers tuition for 13 credit hours per semester. The scholarship covers program-specific credit hours, not pre-requisite courses.
- All approved students will receive $20 per credit hour to partially offset additional education expenses incurred. This includes books and course materials. This stipend will apply to all credit hours taken, even if total credit hours for the semester exceeds the thirteen hours covered by this program.
- Four-year programs: Students attending a four-year program (both in-state and out-of-state) will be awarded a maximum of $624.00 per credit hour.
- Two-year programs: Students attending a two-year program (both in-state and out-of-state) will be awarded a maximum of $189.00 per credit hour.
This scholarship program is supported by Policy #A01-205. If selected to receive this educational award, you will be asked to sign a contract that details the required workback commitment.
One (1) semester of the scholarship award will be forgiven for every six (6) months (or one quarter for every three months) of productive full-time service in eligible title. Productive full-time service begins once the employee has successfully completed their unit-specific orientation and/or new hire internship. The workback agreement begins after the orientation period. Time worked during school as a scholarship recipient does not count to fulfill the work obligation. If a scholarship recipient fails to meet their work obligation, they will be required to repay the entire or remaining stipend amount, plus accrued interest, and any collection costs.
